Evila Piva and Cristina Rossi-Lamastra, with Gary Dushnitsky from London Business School, just published a paper on Strategic Management Journal. The paper studies how platforms mix together their strategic choices and the association with platforms’ performance in the context of crowdfunding; a prominent setting of transaction platforms. The study identifies common mixes of strategic choices;  tracks deviations from these mixes; and associates these with platforms’ survival and growth.
